We (my hubby and I) have been consumed with setting up our Etsy store. Yesterday we posted 7 new items for a grand total of 9 items.
I had great dinner ingredients, I really did....veggies, chicken, great flavors........which all morphed into a blackened smokey burnt rememberance of what had started out as dinner. Why? Because I was uploading my new Etsy items that's why.
I probably should have just tossed the burnt pan out into the yard to become an artifact to some future archeological dig....but, instead I soaked that pan overnight and scrubbed it madly this morning.
So, Etsy, what "help" menu item do you have to combat obsession...."Listers Anonymous" maybe?
Looking forward to my first sale!

Dinner burnt due to Etsy
Yes, it's true, I was so obsessed with uploading and posting my 7 new items last night that I actually burnt dinner for the first time in I don't know how long....
But it was worth it.
Am getting lots of views of my items. A sale will happen any day.
So today we will post more items. I hope that will help give people a real sampling of my work.
Have to figure out how the facebook posting thing works for my Etsy account there.
Boy is that burnt on pan hard to clean. I think I'll just let it soak.

Wow...more photos to upload, more items to post...
Today I went to the Goodwill to find props for shooting our next items for my Etsy store.
Stew and I spent the whole day staging shots of items using these cute vintage-looking props...
By days end we had photographed 7 new items, five shots each. This is a slow process at least at this new stage of the game.
Now we will upload them and I will post. I spent most of the rest of the day writing the descriptions...
All pretty boring and rote really....and...the photos look great. I hope this really gets my store going. We'll have 9 items total. The first two items from last week got lots of views...no sale yet..
Heard from Etsy mgt that there was a treasury glitch yesterday. Didn't know I was in a treasury... waddyaknow...

The Art Of Selling Your Arts And Crafts contd
Well, folks, I'm starting a new blog. Last year my blog was: The Art Of Selling Your Arts And Crafts.
I was funny, it was funny, I had followers.
Now I'm starting over. Isn't that just the way it is with selling your work. Always a new venue or a new angle. No more fairs or stores or reps or whatevers for me. It's ETSY!
And, of course, whats the first thing I do? BUY A NEW TOY to help promote my work: a $700. camera to take better pix than the first two items I posted on Etsy with our old camera.
I've had a respectable amount of views on Etsy but no sale yet....too soon to expect it....AND, the pix are less than thrilling.
So this is my intro blog post re my Etsy adventure, Nanette's Excellent Etsy Adventure.
Stay tuned...I'm a newbie once again!
